I’m sure all of you have heard about Ted Williams, the homeless man living in Ohio, who is this year’s first social media hero to go viral for 2011. Ted was known for panhandling with a homemade cardboard sign declaring his "God-given gift of a voice." After word got around about Ted, the Ohio Dispatch Newspaper decided to stop by one of Ted’s known areas to record him saying popular voice over catch phrases like “coming up next” and “you’re listening to”. In direct contrast to his disheveled and bedraggled appearance, Ted’s voice was deep, rich and yes, voice-over gold. Just days later, Ted is listed on over 4 pages of YouTube postings, hundreds of thousands have posted a video of him on their Facebook or Twitter accounts, and millions of people know who he is, making him a household name. He’s been a guest on the Today show and job offers are pouring in from around the country...
