Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is coming back to Long Island and a regional company, Alure Home Improvements, is the main contractor for the show. I think this is a great event because the whole concept is community building just like we’re trying to do at Basso On Business. They’re building a community- literally, one house at a time- and our goal is to inspire businesses, one entrepreneur at a time. To me, the most amazing part about this is that it brings the business world to the everyday person as both entrepreneurs and neighbors join together to build a home for the deserving family. And while Sal Ferro, owner of Alure Home Improvements, is doing this for all the right reasons, the after effect is that it’s probably going to be really great for his business.
Everybody might not have the opportunity to be on television or have the funds to do such a massive project, but the point here is try to do little things in your own business that help the entire community. What can you do in your community? I know I’m going to show up at the pep rally because I think it’s a great thing he’s doing- and it’s right here on Long Island. Hopefully I see you there!...
